R.H.E.M.A. International

Dr. Ron Herrod of Knoxville Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, October 9 in Nashville, Tennessee following bone marrow transplant procedures. In May of 2018 he was diagnosed with a bone marrow disease leading to Leukemia. 

Dr. Herrod is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 55 years, Emily, son Joseph Herrod of Wellington, FL, two daughters Dawn Gipson of St Louis MO, Twila Williams of Marrero, LA, and 11 grandchildren.

A Memorial service is planned for Friday, October 12 at Sevier Heights Baptist Church, 3232 Alcoa Highway, Knoxville, TN. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM with the service to begin at 1:00 PM.

The graveside service will be Friday, October 12. Friends and Family are requested to meet at Atchely Funeral Home, 122 Peacock Ct, Seymour, TN. The procession to the graveside will begin at 3:30 PM.

A Celebration of Life service honoring Dr. Herrod will be held at First Baptist Church, 1400 Williams Blvd, Kenner, LA at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 14. The family will visit with friends in the Fellowship hall following the service.
